WEEK 16, 2018

Tea market report 16 – 20 April 2018

It appears the buyer’s focus was pointed towards the upcoming large auction quantities of 145k, 162k and 163k in the weeks ahead of us. As a result, most teas lost ground, only the bottom was able to hold firm. The lack of buying mood was also expressed by the 16% outlots. The large auction quantities are a result of the conducive growing conditions of the previous weeks, which haven’t stopped and are likely to continue in the coming weeks.
