Tea market report 19 – 23 June 2017

The Mombasa sale 27 closed with a notable 137,592 packages, offering the highest volume for any sale 27 in history, particularly noteworthy as the seasonal trend would normally see upcoming figures decrease at this time. This week’s market experienced decreased general demand, with most teas trading at irregularly steady to easier rates. Exceptions were seen for best BP1’s, plainer PF1’s and best D1’s which traded firm to dearer.
