From navigating tea auctions to operating blending facilities and managing global logistics, Van Rees operates at the heart of the international tea value chain. We connect producers and buyers across continents – and with that central role comes responsibility.
That is why we have taken a step forward to reflect on our social and environmental impact. This report lays the foundation for the next steps: turning our insights into practice, shaping our sustainability strategy, and move on toward a more sustainable future for tea.
Leaves of Change outlines where we stand today, structured around three core impact themes:
- A safe and healthy cup of tea – focusing on product quality and food safety
- Value from crop to cup – covering traceability, biodiversity, and human rights
- Reducing our environmental footprint – addressing emissions from our operations and wider supply chain
