The second edition of the Van Rees Sustainability Report is now available, reflecting our activities and progress throughout 2025.
As a global tea trader operating at the heart of the international tea supply chain, Van Rees connects producers, customers and markets across continents. From sourcing and tasting to blending, quality assurance, storage and logistics, we play a central role in bringing teas and herbal infusions from crop to cup.
With that role comes responsibility. Consumer expectations, customer requirements and legislation around sustainability, due diligence and food safety continue to evolve rapidly. This report provides insight into how Van Rees approaches these topics in practice, within our role and sphere of influence in the global tea value chain.
The report is structured around our three core impact themes:
- A safe and healthy cup of tea – focusing on product quality, food safety and compliance
- Value from crop to cup – covering responsible sourcing, traceability, due diligence and social topics in the supply chain
- Reducing our environmental footprint – addressing environmental impact within our operations and the wider tea value chain
Alongside ESG data and governance developments, the report also includes practical examples and highlights from our operations and origin countries throughout the year.
This second edition reflects our ambition to continue improving step by step, together with colleagues, suppliers, customers and partners across the tea industry.
