WEEK 15, 2018
Tea market report 9 – 13 April 2018
Kenya auction offering continues on the up and up. This week’s 129,007 packages, up from 126,598, met a lively opening, more than anticipated. Prices initially jumped but stalled out and later eased. However, as the prices eased some lots remained unsold as sellers were not keen to accept. Outstanding cropping conditions continue, and auction quantities will increase by 25% over the course of the coming three weeks.
