Tea market report 11 – 15 June 2018
This week’s Mombasa auction met less demand leading to a lower absorption rate. At the end of the day 12% came out. Normally auction quantities gradually decline during this time of the year. The 173k on offer for week 26, confused buyers. Also, the end of the Ramadan and currency issues in Pakistan are factors of influence. The weather conditions are still good for growing tea, crop is marginally improving.
