Tea market report 38 – 21 September 2018

In Mombasa, 143,642 pkgs were on offer this week compared to 138,821 pkgs the previous week; with good absorption across all grades. Stronger demand was expected this week ahead of the auction mainly due to the low closing for sale 39 at 132,310 pkgs, however the proceedings were a mixed bag with Rwandas selling dearer while other origins being wobbly. The highest selling sorts were the Rwanda BP1 and PF1 followed by Burundi’s and EoR BP1’s, Meanwhile
