Week 42, 2019

Tea market report 14 – 18 October 2019

In Kenya there was good general demand this week for the 139,700pkgs on offer with the all average hammer firming up. Next week there will be an increased auction quantity of 147K pkgs whereupon there will be a slight decline to below 140K pgks. There is heavy rain over the growing districts and the negative effects, such as floods, are just around the corner if the rains continue. However, crop intakes are EoR are slightly improved while WoR has maintained so auction quantities will increase in the weeks to come.
