Van Rees Kenya Ltd. is a major tea sourcing office located in the buzzling coastal city of Mombasa at the shores of the Indian ocean. In this vital East African port, teas from the whole region find their way to an important tea trade industry and undergoes the final stages of handling before being shipped off to all corners of the globe.
Kenya is the world’s largest exporter of mainly black CTC tea and is renowned for its high consistent quality and compliancy for pesticides and contaminants. Making it highly appealing in today’s era of health consciousness and required functionality. Similar but unique teas from other African countries like Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi & Tanzania also find their way to Mombasa.

Our services include sourcing, warehousing & blending using state of the art equipment. In addition, we provide a highly professional logistical department lending support where possible and optimizing the logistical flow in a world where movement of goods have become the ultimate challenge for many companies. VMI and/or added value retail packaging concepts can be implemented on client’s request.
Our office is situated right in the middle of our warehouse & stored teas. Historically, Van Rees Kenya has strong ties and long-term relationships with the traditional exports markets of Kenya tea, like Pakistan, Egypt, The Middle East. But in recent years teas from East Africa have found their way into many new markets.
Our company uses its international network to capitalize on these market developments which sets us apart from our competitors. Our Royal accreditation and over 200 years of experience in the tea industry, stand as a testament to our commitment to this product and our esteemed position in the market.

Our company is a major player in this industry and sources black and green teas from CTC & Orthodox manufacture. Emphasis lies on sourcing the right teas at the right price in the auction and at the tea estates direct.
